Artur Bernhardt i parczewska hala targowa
Parczewska hala targowa została zbudowana w latach 1937-1938 według projektu inżyniera Artura Bernharda. W 1998 roku wpisano ją pod numerem A-291 do rejestru zabytków nieruchomych województwa lubelskiego. Budowle takiego jak ona przeznaczenia należą do obiektów rzadko spotykanych w rejestrach zabytków. I choć świadczy to niewątpliwie o unikatowości hali z Parczewa, to trudno znaleźć informacje na jej temat w istniejących publikacjach. Podobnie jest z jej autorem. Jego nazwisko jest znane, a zarazem nikt nie próbował ustalić kim on był. Artykuł wypełnia obie luki, informując o dziejach i formie hali oraz biografii jej autora.
Summary
Artur Bernhardt and Parczew market hall
The market hall in Parczew was constructed in 1937-1938 based on engineer Artur Bernhard’s design. In 1998 it was entered into the cultural heritage register of Lublin voivodeship as a non-movable object under A-291 number. Buildings of such purpose are hardly ever recorded in heritage registers. Although it undoubtedly proves the hall’s uniqueness, finding references about it in existing publications is extremely difficult. There is a similar problem with the designer. Although his name is relatively renown, no one has ever tried to gain any insight into his biography. This article fills both gaps about the hall’s history and designer’s past.
